Education Act 2023

The act aims to oversee and regulate early childhood, primary, and secondary education, which includes provisions for the registration of teachers, education providers, schools, and early childhood education centres. It also involves the repeal of the existing Education Act (CAP.69) and addresses matters associated with these objectives.

Enacted by the National Parliament of Solomon Islands.

Administrative Instructions (AI)

The Administrative Instructions (AIs) set standards and procedures for key entities in the education system, including Provincial Education Coordination, Education Providers, School Boards, Schools, Early Childhood Education Centres, and Teachers and Leaders. Meanwhile, the Education Funding Code, issued by the Minister, governs education funding and grants. The Ministry of Education and Human Resources Development (MEHRD) is responsible for overseeing the implementation and administration of this framework.
